Assistant to TFTV Agent

Curtis Brown is one of the world’s leading literary and talent agencies, representing actors, presenters, authors, playwrights, film and television writers and directors and theatre directors.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced assistant to a senior agent in our TFTV department, Jess Cooper. This role centres around delivering exceptional client care and effective. Promotion of the clients’ work, seeking out new opportunities for them both here in the UK and internationally, and safeguarding their interests is at the heart of what an agent does, so the successful candidate will need to quickly gain a comprehensive knowledge of each of the client’s work and each client’s specific individual requirements.

The successful candidate will be proactive, confident and show initiative. The role requires someone who has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, exceptional organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and accuracy; the ability to prioritise and someone who is resilient and adaptable – they will frequently be working under pressure and with interruptions and for an agent who is working across different time zones and both in the office and remotely.

You will be able to keep calm and focused. You will be a team player who is willing to share information, ideas and any industry contacts they have and continue to make. You will have a good knowledge of and demonstrable passion for the broader film, TV and theatre landscape.

Please note that this is not an entry level job and we are looking for someone with at least 2 years prior work experience as an assistant in a media organisation, preferably gained within an agency or production company. We’ll be working from home until such time as circumstances allow us to return to working in our central London offices.
