We’re looking for an ambitious Commercials Agent to build and lead our commercials department, expanding the agency’s reach across the world of advertising. You will do this with the backing of an established agency: its roster, its reputation with casting directors, and its systems.

You will develop your own roster of talent specifically for commercials, while working alongside the directors to create commercial opportunities for existing Mottram Donovan clients. You will secure work across TV, online and print campaigns, and grow the casting and brand relationships that bring repeat business.

This is a key position in the agency’s growth. It suits someone who wants ownership and is motivated by results, with earnings that grow as the department does.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage your own list of commercial talent, both existing agency clients and new signings
• Review castings daily on Spotlight and other platforms and submit suitable talent promptly
• Follow up submissions with casting directors and push clients for key roles
• Prepare clients for castings, recalls and shoots, and keep them informed throughout
• Keep client profiles, headshots, showreels and availability current across Spotlight and Tagmin
• Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial casting directors, production companies and brands
• Identify new sources of work and grow the department’s reputation in the commercials market
• Scout and recommend new talent suited to commercial work
• Represent Mottram Donovan at industry events and showcases

Desirable Skills

• A proven track record of placing talent in commercials
• Strong links with commercial casting directors
• Experience handling commercial contracts and negotiating fees, usage and buyouts
• A proven ability to attract and retain talent, and to build brand relationships
• Outstanding communication and organisational skills
• Excellent industry knowledge, including a good working knowledge of Spotlight & Tagmin
• Experience using Mac and iOS systems 
• High energy and fresh ideas, with the ability to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced environment
• A background in or a passion for the performing arts

Terms and remuneration

This is a self-employed role with a competitive, commission-based package. Full details will be discussed at interview.
