We are now looking for an Agent to provide maternity cover in our thriving Commercials & Branding Department from January 2025 on a 12-month maternity contract (this could be subject to some flexibility).

Please note that, upon successful completion of the probationary period, there may be an opportunity to work flexibly, depending on business needs and client activity

Job Role:

The Agent will play a critical role in the Commercials Department by achieving the following responsibilities:

  • Building on Existing Work: The successful candidate will enhance and expand upon the existing deals and relationships established by the Commercials Department, ensuring continued growth and success.
  • Sourcing, Negotiating, and Managing Deals: Leveraging a strong network of contacts, the Agent will source new commercial and branding opportunities, expertly negotiate terms, and manage ongoing deals. This involves handling a wide and varied range of talent and independently managing their enquiries and inbounds to ensure they align with both client and company goals.
  • Seeking New Business Opportunities: By actively identifying and pursuing new commercial opportunities, the Agent will strategically position UA’s prestigious clients with suitable brands. This will involve collaboration with wider teams, including publicists and US management, to maximise exposure and revenue potential.
  • Managing Various Campaign Types: The Agent will oversee a range of campaigns including traditional endorsement campaigns, PR initiatives, ambassadorships, social media campaigns, corporate hosting events, and convention appearances, ensuring they are executed flawlessly and achieve the desired impact for clients.

Essential Attributes:

  • Industry Contacts: Established connections within a diverse range of brands and agencies, allowing for the swift identification and securing of commercial opportunities.
  • Contract Negotiation Experience: Proven expertise in negotiating deal memos and long-form contracts, ensuring terms are favourable and legally sound.
  • Profiled Talent Management: Previous experience handling high-profile talent, demonstrating the ability to maintain discretion and manage client relationships with professionalism.
  • Proactive Business Sourcing: A proactive approach to sourcing new business opportunities, paired with strong communication skills to keep the wider team informed and aligned.
  • Social Media Savvy: Strong knowledge of key social media platforms such as Instagram, X, Facebook, and YouTube, with the ability and enthusiasm to stay updated on emerging platforms.
  • Organisational and Interpersonal Skills: Highly organised with excellent IT, communication, and social skills, maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Mentorship: Ability to support and guide junior team members, fostering their development and contributing to a collaborative work environment.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Non-Traditional Media Expertise: Understanding of monetising non-traditional media, including podcasts, to further diversify revenue streams.
  • Community Involvement: A willingness to engage with and contribute positively to the UA community, supporting the agency’s inclusive and collaborative culture.
