Agent’s Assistant – Film & Television Department Maternity cover 7-month FTC


Where: Located in the heart of London’s bustling and creative Soho, United Agents is one of London’s leading talent agencies encompassing the worlds of film, TV, books, theatre, and comedy.

Who: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant to join our Film & Television department on a 7-month Maternity cover FTC, starting early September 2024, reporting to an Agent specializing in directors, designers and writers working predominantly in theatre and TV. You will be responsible for various aspects of talent management support in a busy office environment, such as, invoicing, the processing and logging of contracts, maintenance of the client diary system, maintaining the smooth running of the office and attending opening nights and screenings when appropriate, as well as providing full support to the Agent in terms of organising their client list and managing client relationships.

Key responsibilities :

  • Invoicing, tracking, and chasing payments
  • Handling a high volume of emails and calls, both from clients and producers
  • Script reading on behalf of Agent/Clients
  • Organising meetings
  • Logging and liaising on availability checks
  • Ensuring client CVs are up to date
  • Processing contracts and organising filing, issuing invoices, and keeping track of monies.
  • Providing full administrative support
  • Diary management
  • Booking international and domestic travel and accommodation
  • Attending press nights with, and on behalf of, Agent

Key Skills :

  • Trustworthy and discreet as you will be dealing with highly confidential material
  • High level attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can do attitude and a willingness to learn

Essential:

  • High level organisational, written, and verbal skills
  • A highly skilled communicator in person, on the phone and in writing
  • Experience of working within theatre, with a theatrical producer or having worked at a literary agency
  • A passion for and good knowledge of theatre and television
