  • Identify training needs and deliver relevant learning and development programmes, either in-house or via partners.
  • Support managers in coaching conversations, feedback frameworks, and team development.

People Operations

  • Oversee all aspects of HR compliance, policy, and practice—including contracts, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases with empathy, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Work with finance/payroll to ensure timely and accurate pay and benefits administration.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Lead recruitment for all hires across departments, ensuring a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Design and manage onboarding experiences that support fast integration and long-term engagement.

Wellbeing

  • Lead the development and delivery of a proactive wellbeing strategy tailored to the realities of high-performance creative work.
  • Partner with managers to foster psychologically safe team environments and recognise signs of burnout or disengagement.
  • Source and manage partnerships with external providers (e.g. EAPs, mental health trainers, wellness coaches) as needed.
  • Design and deliver initiatives that support holistic wellbeing, including stress management, work-life balance, and financial resilience.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Proven HR leadership experience, ideally within a creative, media, or entertainment environment.
  • CIPD-qualified (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Confidently managing sensitive issues with discretion, professionalism, and nuance.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic approach—able to flex between strategic and operational tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience in fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Desirable

  • Experience in small-to-medium-sized businesses where you’ve built or significantly shaped HR functions.
  • Knowledge of working with agents, creatives, or freelancers.
  • Passion for talent development and supporting people in high-pressure, high-performance roles.
