Senior Assistant

A Talent and Literary manager at 42 is seeking an experienced senior assistant to provide administrative, contractual and casting support to a high profile client list of actors writers and directors. The main area of focus for the candidate will be across the talent side of this agent’s business, but there will be support required across the literary side as well.  Casting director relationships, experience across contracts, accounting, plus a strong knowledge base of production companies, and key movements in the industry is a must. The candidate must have excellent organisation, time management and written and oral communication skills; attention to detail; as well as the ability to work under pressure.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is committed to working in an agency, loves working with actors and wants the potential to further their own career. The role will require total commitment, script reading, attending theatre productions and screenings outside of office hours and a sincere investment in the clients of the agency. We are looking for someone who genuinely wants to step up to help contribute to the success of the company.

Other responsibilities will include working closely with high-profile talent, arranging meetings and providing comprehensive support. Managing client availability, scheduling and coordinating audition and self-tape requests. Working with clients on self-tapes and providing notes on them, editing and uploading them. Scouting exceptional emerging talent, through attending drama schools and showcases. Reading scripts and writing breakdowns and proactively identifying and pitching opportunities for clients. Overseeing invoicing and financial admin related to clients. Keeping CVs and biographies up to date. Organising start gifts/press night gifts/birthday gifts. Edit showreels and clips for client material. Support the team with general office administration.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • Minimum two years’ experience at a talent agency.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of casting directors.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Tagmin and Spotlight.
  • Knowledge and experience in reviewing and giving notes on self-tapes, handing negotiations and contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A proactive, friendly, calm and collaborative approach.

This is a full-time role and will be based at 42’s offices in Soho. We are looking for someone to start ASAP.
