PMA membership denotes good agent practice, as outlined in the PMA Approved Code of Practice.

The PMA Code defines good business practice, a commitment to clients, and engagement with industry-wide values of equality, diversity and inclusion, and anti-harassment.

Join the PMA

Thank you for your interest in the Personal Managers’ Association (PMA), a member-led network of talent agencies representing actors, dramatists, directors and creatives across TV, film and theatre. We welcome applications from experienced agencies committed to engaging with our work.

Timeline:
Applications for 2026 membership are now closed. The next application window runs from October 2026 to February 2027. Reviews take place each February – March, with final decisions issued in April. We’re unable to provide feedback on unsuccessful applications.

Membership is selective, with limited spaces each year. You will be asked to provide the following information when you apply:

  • A copy of your Terms of Business (TOBs) – which we expect to comply with the PMA Approved Code of Conduct and (Artists’ Agencies only) with the Employment Agencies Act
  • Two references from current PMA members (please confirm with referees beforehand)
  • A bank or accountant letter confirming a separate client account

To apply, your agency must have at least three years in business; or be led by agents with equivalent senior agent experience and a strong industry reputation. Prior PMA engagement is considered. Alongside your submission Council members take into account the needs and capacity of current members. If you are reapplying, please highlight how your agency has developed since your last submission.

Agent’s assistant

We are currently recruiting an agent’s assistant to start mid-January 2019. 20 hours per week, 2-6pm, Monday to Friday based in our office on the Strand. Must be available for these hours. The ideal candidate will have experience using Tagmin, Spotlight, experience with website management and be IT literate. Would suit someone who may have interned in an agent’s office.

Admin Assistant – Voiceovers / Actors Department (Maternity Cover)

We’re currently recruiting an admin assistant (maternity cover) to work three days a week in our Voiceover department (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and two days a week in the Actors department. The successful candidate will provide general administrative support, including processing contracts, raising and chasing payment of invoices (particularly for the Voiceover department) and provide general admin support for the department on the whole. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organisational, mathematical, written and verbal skills and who is comfortable using MS Office. A can-do attitude is a must! Previous experience of working in an agency would be helpful but it isn’t necessary.

The position would start early February.

Senior Assistant/Junior Agent

Seeking someone with personality and humour to join in February 2019 . Any applicants preferring to be considered for a Junior Agent position should highlight this in there covering letter.

You will have had at least one year’s experience within a talent agency or casting department. Knowledge of the industry is essential as is communication skills and a reliable attitude. Applicants must be motivated, computer literate and have a cheery phone manner. Th office is currently based in Wimbledon.

Shepperd-Fox Senior Assistant position

Shepperd-Fox are looking for a dynamic Senior Assistant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Theatrical Agency. The applicant must be articulate with an excellent work ethic and proactive with superb attention to detail and a great telephone manner. They will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data appropriately.

Experience working with the Spotlight link, Tagmin, and self-tape technology and social media skills are imperative as is the ability to work both in a close knit team and individually showing initiative as required. Career progression for the right candidate is possible and salary will be dependent on experience. Full day time position with flexibility to allow additional evening trips for Theatre and Screenings etc. A motivated intelligent person with a great sense of humour is sought.

Belfield and Ward Ltd seek an office intern from Dec’ 2018 or Jan’ 2019

Weekly remuneration is paid equivalent to the minimum wage.

Hours : 10am – 6pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.

Internships usually run for 3 months

The ideal candidate has a passion for the entertainment industry, an excellent telephone manner, and a working knowledge of mac systems is preferred.

Duties will include being the first point of contact for incoming calls to the office and generally assisting the Agents and Agents assistants with the day to day running of the Agency and associated admin duties.

Multi-tasking, an ability to work under pressure and a sense of humour at all times are vital.

Assistant Agent

Belfield & Ward invite applications for an Agency Assistant to join a busy boutique agency with a small but dedicated team of 2 agents and another assistant, in Covent Garden.

Agency clients work across all areas of the industry and include actors & a small pool of creatives.

Applicants should have some previous agency experience and a working knowledge of Tagmin & mac systems would be ideal.

A cool and calm demeanour are both key as are attention to detail and a passion for the industry plus an ability to multi task and a willingness to occasionally work long hours and make theatre visits etc.

Junior Agent

The Identity Agency Group (IAG) is one of the UK’s leading personal management agencies.
We are looking for a dynamic full-time Junior Agent to grow and progress within the company. Tasks will include: submitting and promoting clients, managing client list, liaising with casting directors and producers and negotiating contracts.
We are looking for someone who is extremely organised, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work under pressure. Being proactive, positive and forward thinking are essential. Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in the fields of agency or casting. You must be computer literate, confident on the phone and have a strong working knowledge of the industry. To reiterate, applicants must have at least 2 years experience as this is a fast moving office.

Social Talent and Partnerships Assistant

We launched our social talent division 2 years ago, which focuses on the representation of online talent like Daz Black, Simon Hooper and Dina Torkia (please see the full roster here – https://www.independent-360.com/presenters/division/social/). The department has gone from strength to strength, so we are looking to add to the team and hire someone with previous experience of working with influencers.

You will need to have great communication skills, be client orientated and have excellent organisation skills, as you will have to manage multiple clients and projects at once. You will have ideally worked in a high-pressure environment and have experience of working with talent previously.
