Upholding Agent Standards

PMA membership denotes good agent practice, as outlined in the PMA Approved Code of Practice.

The PMA Code defines good business practice, a commitment to clients, and engagement with industry-wide values of equality, diversity and inclusion, and anti-harassment.

Join the PMA

Thank you for your interest in the Personal Managers’ Association (PMA), a member-led network of talent agencies representing actors, dramatists, directors and creatives across TV, film and theatre. We welcome applications from experienced agencies committed to engaging with our work.

Membership is selective, with limited spaces each year. You will be asked to provide the following information when you apply:

  • A copy of your Terms of Business (TOBs) – which we expect to comply with the PMA Approved Code of Conduct and (Artists’ Agencies only) with the Employment Agencies Act
  • Two references from current PMA members (please confirm with referees beforehand)
  • A bank or accountant letter confirming a separate client account

To apply, your agency must have at least three years in business; or be led by agents with equivalent senior agent experience and a strong industry reputation. Prior PMA engagement is considered. Alongside your submission Council members take into account the needs and capacity of current members. If you are reapplying, please highlight how your agency has developed since your last submission.

Timeline: Applications for membership in 2026 must be submitted no later than 5 pm on February 20th, 2026. Applications are reviewed each year from February to March.  Final decisions are sent by April.  We’re unable to offer feedback on declined applications.

Assistant to Talent Agent

We’re looking for an organised and confident assistant to join our Talent Department. You must have previous experience of working in a busy office, this is a fast-paced, exciting environment and you need to be able to think on your feet and stay calm under pressure. We need someone sensible with excellent communication skills who knows when and how to use their tact and discretion!
You’ll be working alongside a Senior Assistant helping to support the busy office of two of our most senior Talent Agents. One is also CEO of Curtis Brown, so this role includes additional duties and confidential work involving liaising with other senior managers and directors. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and we expect excellent administrative and multi-tasking skills. Candidates should be happy to work as part of a small close-knit team.
An assistant is the first point of call for the office, so first impressions count – our ideal candidate is well-presented, personable and engaged. For the right person, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn and develop, to gain an overview of the industry and to make relationships for the future.

Full-time, paid internship (3 months)

Sainou is looking for its next full-time intern to start at the end of July or August. This is a 3 month commitment for a driven & enthusiastic individual who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a busy Talent Agency.
This is a paid internship and the hours are 10am-6pm, Monday to Friday (with an hour for lunch). Experience is not necessary but strong admin skills, an impeccable eye for detail and a genuine interest in the industry are all essential.
Successful applicants will work alongside the agents & assistants to maintain the smooth running of the office.
You must have the right to work in the UK and be over 18 years old. Additionally you will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement.

Assistant

Revolution Talent are looking for a full time assistant to start immediately.
We are ideally looking for someone with a minimum of 18 months experience within a busy office, with a knowledge of Tagmin, Spotlight and iMovie.
The successful candidate should be pro-active and organised with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Alongside the day to day running of the office – responsibilities will include;

Agent’s Assistant – Actor’s Department

MacFarlane Chard Associates are looking for a full time Agent’s Assistant for the acting department.
Applicants must have a minimum of one year’s experience working within a theatrical agency and be used to working as part of a small team, under pressure and to deadlines.
Knowledge of both Tagmin and Spotlight is essential and the successful candidate will need to have excellent communication skills, be organized and able to prioritize as they will be speaking to casting directors and clients on a daily basis.

Senior Assistant at Shepperd-Fox

Shepperd-Fox are looking for a dynamic Senior Assistant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Theatrical Agency.
The applicant must be articulate with an excellent work ethic and proactive with superb attention to detail. They will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data appropriately.
Experience working with the Spotlight link, Tagmin, self-tape technology and social media skills are imperative as is the ability to work both in a close knit team and individually showing initiative as required. Career progression for the right candidate is possible and salary will be dependent on experience. Full day time position with flexibility to allow additional trips for Theatre and Screenings etc. A motivated intelligent person with a great sense of humour is sought!

Agent’s Assistant (Writers & Directors)

Currently seeking a new assistant to work within our Writers and Directors Department, reporting to an agent specialising in screenwriters, playwrights, and directors.
Responsibilities will include: reading scripts and offering feedback, processing and keeping track of client contracts, general client administration, attending theatre performances and screenings, invoicing and money chasing, updating client biographies, dealing with clients and producers on a daily basis and contributing to the smooth running of a very busy office.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about film, television and theatre and an avid reader. They should be proactive and forward thinking, highly-organised, have a positive attitude with plenty of energy and enthusiasm, must possess excellent attention to detail and have an ability to communicate at all levels – both in written and verbal form.
Some experience of working at an Agency or a Film/TV production company is required.
