Emailing BBC contributor contracts

Dear All,
Please see the below email from Rob Kirkham regarding a positive change in the way BBC contracts may be sent, signed and returned.
Best,
David
Dear All
I wanted to let you know that from mid-June, our business teams can email contracts to contributors/agents where it will speed up the contracting process. In turn, signed contracts can then be emailed or posted back to the BBC.
Other BBC business areas already successfully email PDF contracts to recipients so we are extending this to contributor contracts up to £50k – many of which are on standard terms or repeat engagements and this should result in writer and artist payments being actioned quicker. I’m sure that will be welcome!
Paper contracts can still be sent if, for example, the recipient does not have an email address, the email address is not verified, the recipient requests paper contracts, etc.
Please could I ask you to make the wider PMA aware of this change and if it raises any questions please contact Neil Hunt (literary) or Nicola Hill (artists).
Kind regards
Rob
