Agents’ Assistant/Development Executive

Posted February 14th 2020

Tavistock Wood is a boutique talent and literary agency advising and representing actors, screenwriters, and directors across the film, television, and theatre industries. We also operate our own production label, Open Book Productions, through which we produce premium television content for BBC Studios. Tavistock Wood is a part of the Original Talent group.

We are looking for an assistant to support the two agents representing our list of screenwriters and directors, and to help co-ordinate the development of our in-house film and TV projects.

This entry-level role will suit someone with real interest in the industry who is hungry to learn more. Duties will vary and include: reading and reporting on scripts; assisting with the management of writer and director clients; searching for and helping identify potential new talent; answering phones, and providing general administrative support to the two agents in our literary department.

This full-time role requires someone who is very organised and has excellent communication skills. You must also have a high level of computer literacy, along with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Ours is a fast-paced office and we need someone who can multi-task and remain calm under pressure, whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail. You will also need to use your initiative, employing tact and discretion when dealing with confidential matters. It would be useful but not essential if you have a literary-based degree.

To apply, please send your CV with a covering letter to jobs@tavistockwood.com to reach us no later than 6pm, Monday 24th February.
