ASSISTANT CLIENT ACCOUNTANT

The Company seeks an Assistant Client Accountant to join the Accounts Department to assist the Finance Director and the Agency Accountant in providing a high quality accounting function to the Talent Agency businesses co-owned by sister company DLT Entertainment UK Ltd.
This is a critical task within the Company and one that requires commitment and attention to detail, excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills and a fast learner able to work unsupervised as well as part of a team. Whilst trained to an adequate level the postholder is encouraged to progress professional qualifications whilst employed by the Company. Given the range of companies that are serviced and differing locations of their activities the individual must be prepared to work from time to time away from their customary office at the Shaftesbury Theatre, London. The postholder reports to their line manager, the Agency Accountant, and on occasion to the Finance Director

Duties
• To assist in providing an efficient and accurate accounting function to the Agents and their clients.
• Dealing with monies received for the clients processing of all fees to client’s accounts/ledgers
• To undertake all aspects of Sales and Purchase Ledgers.
• To undertake multiple Bank Reconciliations for both client and operational accounts.
• Working with the Agents to ensure job information is accurate on the TAGMIN system.
• Nominal Ledger Account Analysis
• To assist with the running and management of the weekly and monthly payrolls.
• To assist in the preparations of the monthly and year-end accounts.
• To maintain effective files for all accounting matters both paper and electronic.
• To provide effective and timely reports as requested by the Finance Director or in their absence other members of the senior management team.
• To work on any special project as identified by the Finance Director.
• To comply with the Company’s Electronic Communications and Data Protection policies.
• To comply with Theatre of Comedy Company’s Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety Policies at all times.
• To support Theatre of Comedy Company’s communication objectives by sharing information with colleagues as appropriate whilst respecting confidentiality so that you and your colleagues have all the information you need to perform your duties effectively.

Person Specification

Essential

• Educated to a Degree level or studying towards a professional qualification
• 2 + years relevant practical experience
• The ability to work to tight deadlines
• Good spoken and written English
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software, preferably Sage Line 200
• Good personal presentation and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• The ability to work under pressure
• A flexible attitude to working patterns

Desirable

• Experience of using TAGMIN would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given
• Practical experience of working within an Agency
• Knowledge of Payroll
• Good social skills
• The ability to take initiative
• To be a team player

Salary Range: £26,000 – £33,000 a year – Based upon Permanent 5 days per week, Both Flexible as well as Part Time Working would be considered
