Assistant in the Film & TV Department (Below the Line Talent)

Echo is recruiting for a new assistant to join the Film & TV Department, supporting a busy team of Agents Assistants, and Agents.

We are looking for an enterprising team player who is exceptionally detail oriented. Someone who is hands-on and thinks ahead, is a multi-tasker and can handle a fast-paced environment and high volume of information traffic with a ‘can do’ attitude. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving, pulling together information and getting stuck into tasks of all magnitudes.

The right candidate will be someone who has previous experience in a team support role (within the Entertainment Industry is preferable but not completely essential) and someone who is looking for a new opportunity where they can build lasting relationships within a passionate and friendly team at a company that champions career development and staff wellbeing. Full training on the company systems will be provided but it’s important that the candidate has some proven experience in managing heavy administrative work.

Echo Artists is a dynamic talent agency representing Production Designers, Directors of Photography, Costume Designers, Editors and Hair and Make-Up Designers in Film, Television, Commercials and Music Videos. Film & TV Department Assistant Responsibilities:
● Updating various company communication tools (IE, Slack, Trello) with the newest information and correspondence
● Covering Agent’s Assistants inboxes when required
● Being the gatekeeper for the department
● Liaising with all other departments to ensure they have the latest film/client information (Accounts Dept, Commercials Dept etc.)
● Accumulating notes in order to provide weekly reports
● General filing and ad hoc tasks
● Call list management: ensuring all Agents and Assistants are aware to return incoming calls
● Setting up client/ producer meetings as required
● Generally being a ‘gatekeeper’ for the Agency

Further Details about the position:
● Flexible start, but ideally ASAP.
● This is a solely office-based role located in the De Beauvoir Block, Dalston.
● Hours will be 9:30 AM to 6 PM with 1 hour lunch break.
● Experience of Macs essential along with Word, Outlook and Excel
● Experience of Slack and Trello beneficial but not essential.
● £20-26k per annum (depending on experience)
● There is a share of the profits of the company
● 5 weeks of holiday plus public holidays. The office also closes over Christmas.
● To start as soon as possible
