Contract term: Minimum of ten months and maximum of twelve.

PBJ Management is the UK’s leading talent agency specialising in comedy. It represents the cream of UK comedy, writing and presenting talent, looking after over 200 clients working across theatre, broadcasting, publishing, commercials and film.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for maternity cover of one of our Associate Agents. Starting in mid-May 2022, the role will require a good standard of industry experience. It will entail looking after the agent’s full client list, some of whom are her own clients and others shared with Senior Agents/ company MDs. It will involve working closely with and being relied upon by high profile clients, so experience working with talent in media/ entertainment is essential.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
– Being first point of contact for a number of different clients that vary in profile, needs and workload.
– Liaising with clients on a day-today basis to meet their needs / requirements. This spans logistical conversations, contract explanations, coming up with strategy and decision making across their current work and future goals, and general relationship upkeep.
– Working on contracts across various different media: Writing agreements for TV and radio, panel show appearances, presenting work, live appearances etc.
– Managing a large volume of requests that come in for clients, sending on to the client when necessary and responding accordingly.
– Liaising regularly with producers, production managers, bookers etc. on logistics for client work and communicating client needs and expectations to ensure clients are happy with the jobs they’re on.
– Being proactive in finding work for gaps in client schedules, according to their taste and ambitions. Much of this is achieved via internal office sharing of work opportunities. Recognising when an opening is fitting for a particular client and reaching out to relevant producer / booker.
– Reading client scripts or pitches and giving feedback where required.
– Attending client events, recordings, live performances when appropriate.
– Invoicing and chasing money on behalf of clients.
– Various admin: Diary management, keeping website pages updated, sending client news to social media point person, organising travel, booking couriers etc.

Experience / Attributes required:
– At least three years agency experience or similar experience in media / entertainment working with talent.
– Good client relationship management.
– Knowledge of TV & writing contracts.
– Excellent communication, phone manner and email writing skills.
– Personable, confident, organised.

Location / working patterns:
– We are based four days a week in our office in Central London with the option to work from home one day a week.
