CLIENT ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ASSISTANT

The Company seeks a Client Accounts Receivable Assistant to join the Accounts Department to assist the Assistant Agency Accountant and the Agency Accountant in providing a high quality accounting function to the Talent Agency businesses co-owned by sister company DLT Entertainment UK Ltd.
Given the range of companies that are serviced and differing locations of their activities the individual must be prepared to work from time to time away from their customary office at the Shaftesbury Theatre, London. The postholder reports to their line supervisor, the Assistant Agency Accountant, on occasion to the Agency Accountant and any other tasks as instructed by the Finance Director.

Duties
• Processing client payments (using TAGMIN)
• Logging payments received for clients.
• Close liaison with banks and purchasers regarding tracking problems and payment issues.
• Updating and maintaining accounts files.
• Liaising with agents to ensure all jobs are loaded and information is correct
• Invoicing clients and preparing remittance advice.
• Managing client accounts and liaising with them about accounting changes.
• Preparing Weekly Client Payments Run.
• Credit Control and weekly reporting to Agents
• Running commission reports
• To comply with the Company’s Electronic Communications and Data Protection policies.
• To comply with Theatre of Comedy Company’s Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety Policies at all times.

Person Specification

• Educated to a Degree level or studying towards a professional qualification
• 2+ years relevant practical experience
• The ability to work to tight deadlines
• Good spoken and written English
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software, preferably Sage Line 200
• Good personal presentation and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• The ability to work under pressure
• A flexible attitude to working patterns.
• Have a driven and ambitious attitude as well as a strong eye for detail.
• Ability to perform in a fast pace environment.
• Out-going and confident personality.
• Build and maintain good relationships with agents, clients and purchasers by understanding their operations and determining how best to ensure payment terms are met.
• Have previous accounts experience, ideally coming from a creative agency background or media outlet.
• The ability to prioritise a varied workloads.
• Experience of using TAGMIN or similar system would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given
