The Agency represents all manner of writers and directors working in drama across film, television and theatre; from those at the peak of their careers to those at the very beginning.
The Agency works with other successful book agencies representing their clients’ media rights and in addition, The Agency have a bespoke children’s literary department. What binds the team at The Agency is their enthusiasm for their clients, great drama and the deal-making that facilitates it.
THE ROLE
The role encompasses assisting two lawyers in the legal and business affairs department and providing administrative support. It requires a calm, courteous and organised multi-tasker. Legal Assistant responsibilities will include:
⢠being the first point of contact for the legal and business affairs office, across phones, emails and welcoming for meetings
⢠typing and transcribing
⢠some client liaison
⢠assisting in marking up contracts (legal training will be provided)
⢠managing diaries
Assistants are currently working a 4-day office and 1 day remote per week pattern which is subject to review.
THE CANDIDATE

⢠A passion for film, TV and theatre would be expected
⢠You will be required to gain excellent knowledge of clients’ material so that you can talk to industry contacts with insight and authority

⢠Have a good knowledge of computing systems / digital / social media
⢠A knowledge or interest in the legal sector would be a bonus
Salary: £25,000 PA
Start date: ASAP
