Echo Artists are hiring Interns to start Summer 2021 – Government Kickstart Scheme

Echo Artists is a dynamic talent agency representing Production Designers, Directors of Photography, Costume Designers, Editors and Hair and Make-Up Designers in Film, Television, Commercials and Music Videos. As a company, we pride ourselves on being passionate about Film and TV and the brilliant stories that stem from a wonderfully talented collaborative team who are often overlooked. We love being creatively and logistically involved in the projects that our clients make and are passionate about facilitating new collaborations and helping our clients get work on original projects whilst giving them advice and negotiating their fees as best as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and help build a new company, which whilst simultaneously supporting the clients we also actively seek to aid the development and wellbeing of staff.

We are looking for 4 Interns this summer to join the team. We are hiring through the Government Kickstart Scheme so please be aware that candidates must be claiming Universal Credit and be between the ages of 18-24 to be considered for the role. We are looking for: a Film and TV Intern, a Social Media and Office Intern, an Accounts Intern and a Commercial Intern. The right candidates will be extremely hard working, have excellent communication skills and amazing attention to detail. We are looking for team players who are willing to jump straight in and help the office and various departments run smoothly.

You could be someone who has worked in the industry before or has transferrable skills and is hard working and willing to learn.

Film Intern Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting the other team members in the department with administrative tasks and generally helping the department run as smoothly as possible
• Supporting the Film + TV Assistants to complete their workload
• Updating diaries and calendars for both Agents and clients
• General Filing and ad hoc tasks
• Drafting emails for Assistants and Agents
• Printing reports for the department and helping with weekly summaries and roundups
• Answering phone as needed

Social Media + Office Intern Responsibilities Include:

• Researching and drafting content for news pieces and social media posts
• Helping track client releases and festival dates
• Updating CVs, web pages, drafting and updating bios and client lists etc
• General admin support across all departments as needed
• General housekeeping duties (within the office when we it is safe to return post Covid)
• General Filing and ad hoc tasks
• Answering phone as needed

Accounts Intern Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting Accounts Manager and Accounts Assistant with administrative duties
• Accounts admin
• Generating invoices
• Generating reports for Accounts Manager as needed
• General filing
• Inbox management

Commercials Intern Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting the other team members in the Commercials department with administrative tasks and generally helping the department run as smoothly as possible
• Updating diaries and calendars for both Agents and clients
• General Filing and ad hoc tasks
• Drafting Submissions
• Drafting Deal Memos
• Researching latest trends and up and coming Directors/HoDs within the industry and keeping department up to speed
• Answering phone as needed

Further Details about the positions:

• To start Summer 2021 (for 6 months minimum with chance of potential full-time role)
• The applicant must be London based – we are currently in the process of moving to a new office in East London
• 25 hours a week (broken down to 5 hours per day Monday-Friday)
• Experience of Macs very useful along with Word, Outlook and Excel and awareness of Social Media platforms and how to use them
• Minimum Wage salary
• 5 weeks of holiday per year plus public holidays (pro rata)
