Jonathan Clowes Literary Agents are currently looking for a bookkeeper, to work with potentially flexible hours (to be discussed). One or two days a week, small friendly office.
The basic requirements of the position are: to look after our office and clients’ accounts, to prepare the remittances which set out the monies due to our clients at the end of every month, and to prepare the VAT return and end of year accounts etc.
Jonathan Clowes founded the agency in 1960. Amongst our clients are the Estates of Doris Lessing and Elizabeth Jane Howard, the international bestseller Len Deighton and the creator of Reginald Perrin, David Nobbs. We also represent Welsh pop legend Gruff Rhys!
