Thank you for your comments with regard to the recent offer from ITV for script fee increases for writers on Emmerdale.
We can confirm that the PMA/WGGB will be accepting the 5% increase offer for script fees. However, in light of the continuing pay disparity with writers on Coronation Street, we shall be pursuing further possibilities to close the pay gap and end the disparity; our proposal is for ITV to increase the Emmerdale Transmission Fee (currently at 75%) in stages to bring in line with the Coronation Street SUA (currently 100%).
