I’d be grateful if [PMA agents] would share any panto contracts (and schedules if they have them) to me at kjalali@equity.org.uk on behalf of clients who are Equity members for us to review.
We won’t disclose whose contracts have been shared or any details that will personally identify clients. I don’t need to review any contracts for any Imagine Theatre, Crossroads Pantomimes or UK Productions pantomimes, or any contracts for productions that will be under an Equity collective agreements.
One of the key aims of my work is to ensure that performers and stage management have their rights as workers in law honoured on engagements, which they will typically nearly always hold. I believe this could be one of the most impactful ways to improve terms and conditions in the sector … fully understanding how they engage the performer/stage manager workforce is pivotal.
