Reminder from BBC re BBC Contributor Payments Interruption

Dear Colleagues
Advance Notice of BBC Contributor Payments Interruption between 2 and 12 January 2015
As a result of a major upgrade to the BBC’s SAP business and payments system immediately after Christmas, I am sorry to inform you that the BBC we will be unable to process any contributor payments (or pay any invoices) between 2 January and 12 January 2015.
The last payment run before the systems upgrade will be 2 January 2015 for contracts approved by 30 December 2014.
Following the end of the transfer to the new system, payments will recommence on 12 January 2015, initially catching up on the accumulated backlog of payments.
Where we have payments scheduled to go out on existing contracts between 2 and 12 January 2015, these will be brought forward to be paid immediately before the systems upgrade.
I know that this may disrupt payments to a number of recipients of this email or your clients and I apologise in advance for any inconvenience that this will cause, but as I am sure you realise, we have to periodically update our systems to ensure that they are robust, future proof and remain able to deal with the huge volume of transactions that they process.
Best wishes
Mark
