I’ve just received the following from Equity:
The A List by Kindle Entertainment.
[this production] has issued a casting notice with unacceptable terms and as a result of this many agents have been pulling their clients out of the casting due to be happening on Monday.
We [Equity] has been made aware of the terms of the casting document and agree that they are unacceptable. As Kindle are PACT members Equity has followed the usual protocol of informing PACT of the issues.
If this affects you be aware that Equity has been informed of this issue and has instructed PACT to advise their members that the casting note contains unacceptable terms which Equity cannot endorse.
