I was contacted yesterday afternoon by a number of Equity members and agents about the contracts with an additional 30-page addendum that is being issued for the forthcoming production of The Kite Runner at the Wyndhams Theatre. This is being produced by UK Productions in conjunction with Paul Walden, who is a Full SOLT member.
The contracts and the addendum are completely unacceptable (and are not Equity contracts). I urge your members not to agree to them. I have asked for an urgent meeting with Martin Dodds at UK Productions to try to resolve the situation.
