Hello all
So I am still working (just) as an agent and wanted to get in touch regarding a clause that was inserted into the special stipulations for Subsequent Seasons without it being discussed at all.
This is at a 5% uplift and subject to professional availability only. I did not negotiate my fee based on a possible option and have told Wiggin that I will not be signing this agreement.
I wanted to know if anyone else was as concerned about this as I am and if this has been in every contract on this production.
I have been told that this is the “template” that cannot be changed and have been offered a side letter to say that my client will not be in any subsequent series. So why not take out the clause, I ask? “They just won’t”.
I think I am just trying to get a sense from you all as to how widespread this is and if there are any worries from you all.
