Acting Agent Maternity Cover
Start date: September 2022
Contract term: Minimum of ten months and maximum of twelve.

PBJ Management is the UK’s leading talent agency specialising in comedy. It represents the cream of UK comedy, writing and performing talent, looking after over 200 clients working across theatre, broadcasting, publishing, commercials and film.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for maternity cover of our Acting Agent. Starting in September 2022, the role will require a good standard of industry experience. It will entail looking after the agent’s full client list and will involve working closely with and being relied upon by high profile clients, so experience working with talent in media/ entertainment is essential.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

– Suggesting clients on Spotlight and via casting directors directly for TV, film and theatre roles.
– Liaising with casting directors with regards to auditions, fees and contracts.
– Reading scripts and giving clients feedback and advice on roles.
– Assisting clients with self-tapes when needed.
– Being proactive about finding acting work for all clients when they have space to do so in their schedules.
– Invoicing and chasing money on behalf of clients.
– Attending screenings, set visits and recordings when appropriate.
– Writing report for bi-weekly company-wide meetings detailing current acting department activity
– Collating client material and putting together showreels.
– Forecasting client and department financial earnings

Experiences / Attributes required:

– At least three years experience working with actors, either in an agency or casting capacity.
– Good knowledge of Spotlight.
– An understanding of acting contracts including PACT/EQUITY and SAG AFRA, and good negotiation skills.
– Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
– Personable, confident and organised.
– Excellent attention to detail.
– A strong capability to multitask, work under pressure and prioritise accordingly with tight deadlines.
– A passion for film, television, theatre and comedy.

Salary:
– 35-45k p.a dependent on experience.
