Literary Agents’ Assistant

Vacancy for a full-time literary agent’s assistant at boutique TV/film agents Nick Turner Management representing TV & film writers, producers and directors. The candidate should ideally have a minimum of a year’s relevant experience, ideally in a screenwriters or literary agency. Proficient use of Microsoft Office and a forensic attention to detail is a must. As is an interest in film and TV. The role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience as part of a small team, with training to be provided. The chosen candidate will assist agent/MD Nick Turner and Agent Phil Adie. Fixed 12 month contract, with possibility to extend.

Duties include:
•Executive PA duties: managing the agents’ and clients’ diaries, booking meetings and lunch appointments, and general support to the agents and clients.
•Dealing with general enquiries
•Updating the agency website with the agents’ clients’ news, as well as maintaining the agency’s social media pages.
•Assisting with development of client work/projects and submitting client work to producers,
chasing responses and updating submission trackers.
•Dealing with client contracts administratively; issuing, sending out for signature, tracking.
•General office administration; filing, maintenance of office supplies and equipment,
answering phone calls.
•Reading script submissions from potential writer clients and writing readers reports.
Watching showreels from potential director clients and feeding back to the agents.

Skills:
•Ideally a minimum of one year’s experience in a screenwriters or literary agency or similar.
•Thorough knowledge of all Microsoft Office Packages; Word, Excel and Outlook
•Familiarity with web content management systems and social media platforms
•Strong attention to detail essential
•The ability to multitask and good organisational skills are essential
•Dynamic positive approach essential
•Must be able to work well under pressure and to deadlines
•Good time keeping
•Good communication skills and confident telephone manner
•Some script-reading experience or a script-writing qualification is ideal

Candidate must be able to work remotely from home, with flexibility to travel required to the agency HQ in central London on an adhoc basis for meetings etc. Salary £20k pa.
